Doodeling in the vacations

I've spent a bit of time in the vacations doodeling with some new designs for upcoming products from Copyleft. We suck at product launching since it's much easier to focus on the work from clients that pay the bills, but one day I'm sure we'll manage to release one of our babies. And when it happens, we'll even have webpages for them.

In other work related news, I've got a new MacPro to work on that is amazingly fast. I'm sure that might not be a surprise to many, but I expected something like a 50% speed increase from my MacBook Pro, but we're talking 400-500% faster in Photoshop. I no longer feel that I'm waiting for the machine to catch up to my shortcut-keys.

And in the process of getting a new machine set up I'm now using dropbox.com to sync my files. If you have several machines and don't feel comfortable writing a rsync script than it's by far the best solution I've tried so far. Mozy.com by contrast sucks, it's slow, seems to want to sync everything all the time and doesn't recover gracefully when something goes wrong.
